Aria Mody is a 17-year-old Indian-American singer, songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist who is rapidly establishing herself as a household name in the international music scene. Raised in New Jersey by an Indian mother and an American father, Aria's bicultural upbringing strongly colors her music and artistic aesthetic. She started learning music at the tender age of six, and she wrote her first song entitled "God Make My Life Come True." Through the years, she honed her musical craft, learning the piano, bass, guitar, and alto saxophone.
Aria has vocally trained under the great Seth Riggs, who taught legendary artists Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, and Ray Charles. Her genre is a combination of pop, R&B, and hip-hop, incorporating a lot of cross-cultural influences that appeal to an ethnically diverse crowd.
In 2024, Aria dropped her single "Talk About It," which was produced by Grammy-winning producer Derek "DOA" Allen. The track, which she co-wrote with Elle Nikole, touches on the challenges that young people go through when attempting to convey their feelings. Working with an industry veteran such as DOA gave Aria great experience in professional music production and songwriting.
Another major project in Aria’s career is "TMO (Te Amo, I Love You)," a Punjabi-English fusion track featuring Madhur Dhir and actor Ayaan Zubair. Set in Goa, the music video portrays a cross-cultural love story, symbolizing Aria’s desire to use music to bridge cultural divides and celebrate diversity.
Aria also worked with Prateek Gandhi on "All Night," an R&B-alternative track that combines English and Hindi lyrics. The low-key music video, filmed in a recording studio, captures the raw energy and creativity behind the scenes.
Outside of music, Aria is a capable visual artist and an accomplished fencer, exhibiting her versatility through various fields. Her artistic process has been generously aided by her mother, Parul Mody, who helped foster her art ambitions.
