Deathknell was formed in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. The band cements its position in the metal scene with a thick wall of sound, together with exhilarating performances.
The five-piece outfit consists of Manish Verma on drums, Manish Kashyap as the lead guitarist and vocalist, Snehal Shandil on rhythm guitar, Sachin Verma on bass guitar, and Vinod Kashyap on backing vocals and rhythm guitar. The band's intense musical compositions and powerful stage presence attracted quite a loyal following.
In 2012, Deathknell saw the release of their first album, Still To Decide, which features eight tracks of sheer brutality. The album was fast receiving good reviews by metal pundits and became synonymous with the band's reputation. Besides the debut album, the band began recording a number of singles that contributed to their ever-growing discographies and influence in music.
Deathknell has gained international recognition through airplay across a number of radio platforms worldwide: 90.2 Big FM, Radio Revolta, BC Radio, etc. Deathknell has taken their music across the globe, thus earning praise from metalheads in different times and places.
With the rise in fame came an MTV appearance, thus further conquering the mainstream music industry.
