My practice moves and shifts across different media, combining material elements of collage, painting, and printmaking with photography and installation. Drawn toward the silent, indefinable, incommunicable qualities of human experience, I express in my work a shared and complex, ambiguity of being; exploring transitory human states that aren’t searching or reaching towards conclusion, finality or end narrative.

Through my practice, I attempt to articulate form to transitional, intangible feelings that lie collectively within us, while critiquing and unraveling the layers of cultural baggage and conditioning that often disengage us from one another. Exploring art as a narrative medium of human connection; I express collective themes of invisibility, illness, memory and impermanence within personal and shared human experience.

As an artist who copes with chronic illness and  disability, I seek to challenge and understand inclusivity through the structure and systems we live in. Through a recent project and exhibition, I examine issues of invisibility around hidden illness and disabilities, within spaces that mediate between art, identity, and the ethics of medicine and healthcare; exploring dictated, conditioned notions of normality in the ways we categorise, identify and perceive our own bodies.
