Book Top metal band in Bangalore | Book/Hire Grail of Destruction Band

Grail of Destruction is a Progressive Ambient Groove Metal band put together by former Kill the Kratos frontman Cyril Prince and Samudra's (former) drummer PS Rohit. The balance between heavy metal, complex time signatures and synthetic sounds layered in the surface, is the grounding sound of the band. Abhimanyu Bhasker, handles the growl duties. Haripriya Narasimhan plays bass for the band (also ex-Samudra). We have recorded multiple original demos and will be launching an EP this November by collaborating with a lot of artists. We are music mentors at Octavium, an academy in Bangalore. Our jam pad is our studio space at Octavium Studio.

Our songs have a very evolved sound imbibing the progressive aspects of metal along with digital synth layering from inspirations like Steven Wilson Project, Porcupine Tree, Animals as Leaders, Dream Theater, Devin Townsend Project, Kamelot, Tool. The thrash and groove metal side of it comes from inspirations like Metallica, Megadeth, Pantera, Lamb of God, DevilDriver. Since the band started with guitar and drums, focus also is given largely into writing interesting drum and guitar solos with inspiration from artists like Guthrie Govan, Marco Minnemann, Tosin Abasi, Matt Garstka, Gavin Harrison, Jojo Mayer, Shannon Larkin, Mike Johnston, Dimebag Darrell, Alexi Laiho, Steve Vai, Marty Friedman. The growls create a larger-than-life feel in the sound, inspired by Sepultura, Kalmah, Amon Amarth, Cradle of Filth, Arch Enemy. Clean vocals interspersed with growls is inspired from bands like Asking Alexandria, Five Finger Death Punch, The Unguided, Caliban, Slipknot, All That Remains, Opeth, Trivium, Killswitch Engage, Rise to Remain. The bass lines have their own melody which gives a unique flavor to the music inspired by Colin Edwin, Justin Chancellor, Cliff Burton, John Myung, Steve Harris, Bryan Beller. The lyrics draw a bridge between War & Peace, Hate & Love, Evil & Good. Inspired from modern artists, spiritual authors, political critiques & corporate working-class as well as poets from the Baroque & the Impressionist eras, the messages speak to the common-man. The song-writing process is a combination of theoretical calculations & intuition, mostly depending on the theme of the song. The production is dealt with a certain amount of discipline to keep the attention of the listener at peak. While the band plays live, all digitally produced sounds are played from a DAW going through a soundcard, acting like pre-recorded keyboard inputs. Put together, G.O.D is a combination of well-crafted musicians. Meticulous detailing in songwriting, instrumental voicing, lyrical philosophy, & thematic choices make the sound of the band intense, aggressive & unique.
