Indian Ocean is an Indian rock band that was formed in New Delhi in the early 1990s. The band is known for its fusion of Indian classical music with rock and jazz influences. The current lineup of Indian Ocean consists of Susmit Sen on guitars, Rahul Ram on bass guitar and vocals, Amit Kilam on drums and percussion, and Nikhil Rao on vocals.
Indian Ocean gained popularity in the Indian independent music scene with their self-titled debut album released in 1993. Their music is characterized by socially relevant lyrics and a unique sound that blends traditional Indian instruments like the sitar, tabla, and flute with contemporary rock elements.
