Formed in the summer of 2011 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, Jashna is one of the most versatile contemporary hard rock bands. It owes inspiration to some of the so-called gurus in metal and rock. Its music thus can be categorized as a completely new sound genre, which is a mixture of traditional hard rock and heavy metal, punk rock, and psychedelic rock sounds.
The band consists of four talented members and contributes to the ensemble with their individual skills and energy. The lead vocalist, Nitesh Gupta, has a powerful voice and reaches great heights in his performances. Arv Bhatt on guitar creates intricate riffs and great solos that form the actual background of Jashna's sound. Addy on bass pours out groovy, robust lines that add depth and texture to their compositions. Meanwhile, Divyesh Muley, on the drums, serves high-energy beats and complex rhythms to drive the electrifying performances of the band.
Jashna's music, while still being a fusion of styles, combines the best progressive elements with raw hard rock. This versatility enables the whole group to explore such a great scope of themes and emotions in their compositions. This heavy metal, punk influence adds a bold edge to music, while psychedelic undertones introduce an atmospheric, captivating quality.
On March 25, 2014, Jashna released its debut album 'Insensitive', marking a milestone and reflecting the talent and creativity in the music they have created. Their tracks range from high-octane anthems to thought-provoking pieces with melodies that reflect the multiple aspects of the band's songwriting approach.
Jashna since inception has matured as music evolved over their performances with new creative compositions to inspire. Pushing boundaries has meant a significant deal to these while maintaining traditional hard rock with solid steps; it puts a strong step inside the present sound of the contemporaries' rocking. Being this soundful entity with true heart passion in a song for any, the audience leaves as such for more listening with their enthusiasm with this sound called Jashna.
