The fourth episode of a national talent show called "India's Got Latent Bonus" sponsored Rahul Mishra, an Indian ventriloquist and stand-up comedian who achieved national prominence with his hilarious performances alongside his puppet partner, Jojo Johny. A childhood interest in the art of throwing voice to inanimate objects prompted him to take up ventriloquism for real. Years of hard work polished his art, building distinct personalities for his puppets, Johny and Jojo. Whereas Jony is rather witty and ill-tempered, Tony is cool and casual, with a sense of humor. The contrasting similarities between the two puppets create refreshing and entertaining dialogues, thanks to the impeccable timing of Rahul, who dresses the stage with audiences across a wide range.
Performances that stood apart in originality and comedy on "India's Got Latent Bonus," bringing forth social issues contemporary to India laced with old humor, made the acts both entertaining and thought-provoking. The workings of performance and the skill and artistry to lend life to each puppet with a different voice and personality left the judges and audience impressed.
Following his glory on "India's Got...,'' he went ahead to open a YouTube channel called "JONY AND TONY," where he shares various contents—skits, pipe-laying, and the works. This has availed him the opportunity to reach a wider audience with a huge following, thus solidifying his foundation in digital entertainment. In one of his productions titled "Life After Latent," Rahul gives a candid account of what he has been through after the show, thus explaining opportunities versus challenges.
