Started his DJ-ing career in India (Chennai) 14 years ago; Kunal is one of the few DJ’s around, who experienced the dance revolution throughout all its stages as it progressed in India (Chennai). There is probably not a single venue's dance floor in Chennai from 1997 till date to be found that didn't’ experience his sets in their full glory. He carried on his proud tradition of delivering the freshest, funkiest, most mind-blowing sets available to both "dance-floor monkeys" and club goers, with some occasional sets being played on invites only. His background in sound & light engineering surely speaks for himself. He started as a freelancer for corporate parties, gatherings, social meetings, The All India Round Table Meets, for a few big names like Ford, Citibank etc. He later moved on to the Discothèque arena. His stint at Bangalore resulted in DJ-ing into the new millennium at “Midnight Express”, ITC Windsor Sheraton, consequently paving the way for a truly ebullient year. After kicking off the millennium he joined EC-41, the first ever seaside disco in the city, as the resident DJ where he worked with fêted DJs like Sunny Sarid, Jazzy Jo etc. He also performed at the opening night of “fun pub” (now renamed as “LE FLAME”) Meredien on Feb. 14th 2001 & 2003 with M.T.V. VJ, Malaika Arora. He hit the international dance floors from 2009 onwards and rocked Colombo with his scintillating tunes, “Times Café” at the Ramme Royal Dubai in 2011. In addition to the above, he has been constantly working on music designing, and remixing. He specializes in genres like commercial, house, funky house, bollywood to name a few, although you will find music from every era imaginable in his music box. He can also change his style of music to suit any event, and is actively involved in Mobile Disco’s for almost 15 years, entertaining people at weddings, birthday parties and other social gatherings. He also gets booked on a regular basis to play major events, intro sets for major gatherings, and year end functions for a couple of India’s biggest corporate companies. In 2000 He Participated in the D.M.C. [DJ Mixing Championship], 2007 he was the runner up at the “Times war of the DJs” 2011 again he was the runner up for the “Red Bull Three Style” competition in Chennai with an outstanding performance. He ranked 15th among 100 dj’s in India.
