Nishawn Bhullar, originally Balraj Singh Bhullar, born on July 21, 1985, in Patiala, Punjab, India, is an all-round talent within the Punjabi entertainment sector, renowned as a singer, lyric writer, and actor. He completed his studies at local colleges prior to graduation from Punjabi University, Patiala.
Bhullar's career in music began with his first album, "The Folkstar," launched in 2010, written by Honey Singh. Through this album, he proved his potential to merge traditional Punjabi folk music with modern sounds and gained a large following. He wrote the lyrics for the track "Lancer," sung by Jassi Gill in 2013, further cementing his position as a good lyricist.
Branching out further in his career, Bhullar tried his hand at acting, debuting in the Punjabi movie "Nabar." His work was well received, helping the movie win a National Award. Bhullar remained active in working as an actor with appearances in films like "Aa Gaye Munde U.K. De" (2014), "Mitti: Virasat Babbaran Di" (2019), and "Masand" (2022). Besides, he also featured in the TV series "Gangland in Motherland" (2018–2019) as Sultan in five episodes.
Through his work in Punjabi music and films, Bhullar has established himself as a talented and influential artist. His commitment to his work inspires and entertains fans as a testament to his love for working towards the preservation and innovation of Punjabi cultural expressions.
