Patralekha Paul is a well-versed Indian actress known for her versatile acting in Hindi cinema. Patralekha was born on February 20, 1990, in Shillong, Meghalaya. She is an alumnus of HR College of Commerce and Economics in Mumbai. Being fascinated by acting, she went to FTII, the most renowned Film and Television Institute of India, to hone her acting skills.
This newcomer made her foray in Bollywood with a much-touted film such as CityLights (2014), helmed by Hansal Mehta opposite Rajkummar Rao. It was the characterization of a difficult wife and mother of the two as Rakhi while negotiating her way through some tough circumstances and realities of life that did bring Patralekha much acclaim due to the authenticity and emotional depth she evinced, proving a tough character with great conviction鈥攁 promise indeed to watch out for more.
She continued acting in varied film and webseries roles, such as Love Games (2016), wherein she ventured boboldlynd went way beyond lines, and iBadnaam Gali, a 2019 comedy-drama addressing social issues of the present era with huhumornd much more sensitivity.
