Soundarya Rajnikanth is an Indian film director, producer, and graphic designer. She was born on September 20, 1984, in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. She is the younger daughter of the legendary Indian actor Rajnikanth and the sister of filmmaker Aishwarya Rajnikanth.

Soundarya Rajnikanth initially started her career as a graphic designer and worked on several Tamil films, lending her creative expertise to visual effects and animation. She gained recognition for her work in films like "Baba" (2002) and "Sivaji" (2007), where she contributed to the visual effects department.

In 2014, Soundarya made her directorial debut with the Tamil film "Kochadaiiyaan." The film was India's first motion capture 3D animated film and featured her father, Rajnikanth, in a dual role. "Kochadaiiyaan" received mixed reviews from critics but was appreciated for its technical advancements and visual grandeur.
