Triplets Ghetto Kids, commonly known as TGK, is an energetic dance crew from Uganda. They are known for their African dance styles mixed with hip-hop, having high energy, and dynamism. From being a small group of youngsters originating from the slum of Kampala, they now entertain the whole world by displaying their tremendous talent through social media, television, and international shows.
Founded by Fred "Fik" Nsubuga in the early 2010s, the crew realized that there was a huge potential among the youths in their local communities for development and passion towards dancing. At first, the TGK crew performed their skills in local communities as an escapism and way of expression through dance. However, their raw energy and the stunning choreographies started gaining much attention and, slowly began to be invited to prominent events like the popular "America's Got Talent."
Their style blends the traditional Ugandan moves with contemporary dance forms in coming up with a dynamic and high-energy performance that reverberates through different cultures worldwide. They have also used the platform to bring out awareness on the still facing problems of the underprivileged youth of Uganda, which has inspired many in their resilience and determination to change for a better future.
Beyond their dance, TGK is hope and an opportunity. So far, the group has managed to uplift many from poverty by giving them a chance to pursue their passion for dancing and improving their life status. With their energy, talent, and empowerment message, Triplets Ghetto Kids continue breaking walls in the global entertainment sphere.
