Tushar Raj Kumar is an Indian mentalist, illusionist, and magic instructor known for his charismatic performances that blend psychological illusions with the classic form of sleight of hand. He was born on December 14, 1990, as the son of the great illusionist Raj Kumar, founder of the Delhi School of Magic (DSM), where Tushar is presently the training director.
Tushar's love for magic began at the age of four. Even though he graduated with a bachelor's in electronics and electrical engineering, magic nevertheless paved his way into a full-time career. In these last sixteen years, he has performed in over four thousand shows in thirty-one countries, with virtual acts in nine of these. His elite clientele includes Fortune 500 companies such as Google, PepsiCo, and Axis Bank.
His signature act, The Mind Hack, displays all his abilities in mentalism and illusions while leaving the audiences amazed and perplexed by his interactive tricks. He is very much in demand for weddings, corporate functions, and high-end parties. Until 2017, from 2013, Tushar was the unique Chief Happiness Officer of McDonald’s India, propagating entertaining magic to uplift underprivileged children as part of their CSR programs.
His commitment also extends to education and mentoring. At the school, Delhi School of Magic, he has trained over 5,000 students in mind reading, card tricks, and performance marketing; this has played a role in the nurturing of a younger generation of Indian magicians.
Among his achievements are the India Jaal Award and Mr. Moksha at NSIT's annual fest. Throughout 2019, during Police Martyr's Day, he performed a dedicated show in memory of Delhi Police martyrs and was presented with the tribute from the Commissioner of Police Shield.
Tushar Raj Kumar continues to change the face of contemporary magic by imparting strong emotions to his entertainment act. His end goal is to share joy, wonder, and inspiration through the gift of illusion with all who cross his path around the world.
