Multifaceted Indian artist. Voice actor. Singer. Digital content creator. January 05, 1988, New Delhi, India-born Wajahat Hasan is one name really created in the pages of the entertainment world in India, under several pompous personalities of talent and engaging personas.
Wajahat began his career in voice acting in 2004 when he voiced Sonic the Hedgehog in the Hindi dub of Sonic X. His foremost recognition in the voice world was as Suneo Honekawa, featured since 2005 in the Hindi version of the anime Doraemon. The artist has also covered characters like Jimmy Kudo from Detective Conan, Toru Kazama from Crayon Shin-chan, and Boots from Dora the Explorer. He has become a household name, especially to children, because of how he brings animated characters to life through his voice.
Not only does he voice act, but this passionate artist also enjoys music. Wajahat received classical training from Ustad Sabri Khan and Ustad Riyaz Ahmad Khan and has built a tremendous foundation in Indian classical and Sufi music. His great influence is the mythic Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. He first came into the face of music through this TV reality show, Sitaron Ko Chooona Hai, where he became one of the top seven finalists. Since then, he has done live concerts throughout India and abroad, specialising in soulful Sufi renditions.
In 2016, Wajahat delved into digitalisation with his YouTube channel, where he showcased his music, voice work, and comedy sketches. The channel now boasts more than 2 million subscribers and many millions of views. Some of the videos include funny demos of Doraemon and covers of all-time classics.
Wajahat currently lives in Faridabad, Haryana, with his wife, Sadaf, whom he married in 2019. Kinza, their daughter, was born in May 2020. Juggling his creative career with family life, Wajahat entertains and inspires audiences with his talent and authenticity.
