Their musical heritage goes deep, since they are the direct descendants of the great Delhi Gharana and members of the prestigious tradition of "The Qawwal Bachchey of Delhi Gharana." The Warsi brothers were born into a family of highly acclaimed Qawwali and classical musicians. Their grandfather, Padmashri Aziz Ahmed Khan Warsi, was a globally-famed Qawwali singer whose performance was founded upon classical music, and their father, Ustad Zaheer Ahmed Khan Warsi, was a National Award-winning Qawwal and classical singer. Trained rigorously in music by their father and grandfather from a tender age, the brothers learned the finer points of Qawwali and classical music. Their exposure to this noble musical tradition has enabled them to imbue their performances with depth and authenticity that is unmatched.
