Yashraj Kapil is a singer and musician from India who has gained fame for his versatile voice and aggressive stage performances. Born in Faridabad, Haryana, he started his musical training at a very young age of four and was trained in Hindustani classical music. Seeing his gifted talent, his parents shifted to Delhi so that he could get proper opportunities for his musical growth.
Kapil's initial commitment to music made him appear on numerous reality television programs, where he exhibited his extraordinary talent. He earned substantial popularity by emerging victorious on the reality show "Sitaron Ko Choona Hai," which propelled his fledgling career forward. Establishing himself further in the music sector, he was a finalist on "Indian Idol 5" and also appeared on "Sur Kshetra," competing on behalf of India in a musical war against Pakistani artists.
Apart from his work on television, Yashraj Kapil has also worked for Bollywood music. He sang the title song of the movie "Khiladi 786" in 2012 along with other prominent singers under the direction of Himesh Reshammiya's composition. He is versatile because he easily adapts to classical, pop, and modern types of music.
In addition to playback singing, Kapil is a competent instrumentalist and knows how to play the keyboard and guitar, though he is self-taught in these two instruments. He is renowned for his energetic stage performances and rapport with crowds and is highly regarded as a live performer at events and concerts.
