The neodymium low-frequency drivers are arranged in a symmetrical dipolar pattern around the coaxial MF and HF components that are mounted in the middle. This lets the adjacent frequency bands overlap smoothly in the crossover design.

This results in an exceptional 80° horizontal constant directivity dispersion control nominally being maintained down to 250 Hz. The mechanical and acoustical design enables the flow of vertical arrays of up to twenty-four loudspeakers. It can be used in columns of purely V8 loudspeakers or combined with V12s and/or with V-SUBs. The V8 cabinet is constructed from marine plywood and has an impact- and weather-protected PCP (Polyurea Cabinet Protection) finish. A rigid metal grill with an acoustically transparent foam backing protects the front of the loudspeaker cabinet.
