Paul was appeared in TV show Star of Bengal in 2008, which was broadcasted on Zee Bangla. Later he participated in Bengali version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in 2013. After featured in the show, he became a famous teenage celebrity in Bengal. He also participate in national version of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in the year 2016. He was under the mentorship for Pritam Chakraborty on the show. Kushal knows three languages fluently: English, Hindi, and his mother tongue Bengali.
